Welcome to Hot Pink Frog Designs. Marie, the owner, founded this proudly South African business 11 years ago and the brand embodies her love of colour and style.
We sell genuine leather JESS bags handcrafted in Cape Town as well as imported clothing from the MADE IN ITALY and Misumi London brands. We recently launched our imported genuine leather purses/card wallets (JOY and BELLA) as well as the LUCY mini-bag collection.
Our studio overlooks the mountains in the upper valley of Hout Bay and we are inspired by the vibrant colours of nature. Our products are simple, elegant, unique, retro, and fun, and they appeal to all ages.
Our handcrafted JESS range is made entirely by hand in Cape Town using locally sourced leather. All of the stitching is done by hand using two harness needles and waxed thread.
Why hand-stitching? Each JESS bag is sewn in the traditional way using the age old saddle stitching method. This creates a superior finish as the thread passes through each hole twice, doubling the strength of the stitches.
In 2023 we expanded our product offering to include a range of imported clothing, imported leather bags and purses, and jewellery.
